HELP needed for a friend, please. Anyone?..
by defender of truth ina friend of mine (who has recently started reading jwn) is having trouble eating and sleeping because, even after having recently woken up to ttatt.. they are still concerned about 'demons, everlasting destruction, and jehovahs disapproval'.. i've tried to encourage them.
i'm sure you all understand that these things can take time, the transition period is often painful, to some extent.
i'm still struggling with anger and depression myself.. i'll be away from jwn, off the internet, and thus out of contact with them for a while (don't ask why)... so please don't expect me to reply to or even look at what you post, .

What are we talking about when we say "living forever"? 1000 years, 10,000 years, 100,000 years, million, billion. The problem is we can not even think what it would be like to live even 1000 years. This planet is just a sub-atomic particle compared to the rest of the universe when it comes to size. So what does that make us? Really nothing. This is all wishful thinking. I agree to what some have said "enjoy life that you have now, do what you can do to make life better for others and will as yourself, be happy and show love to all". This idea of living forever is all just a dream. Now if all could live to 100 years of age with no health problems and able to take care of yourself. Now that would be worth working for instead of living a dream. Still Totally ADD

You will find many things you thought was true are not and how the Wt. is really no diffrent than many other reglions. Was droping bomb on Hiroshima in 1945 evil?
by new hope and happiness insorry for such a depressing question, but i was moved by a picture i saw of the consequences.
( a woman carrying her child) and i realised:-.
a) it was a civillian population.. b) i don't see how a nuclear holocaust can ever be right.. c) they could have bombed tokyo where all the generals lived but chose hiroshima.. d) the irony after the bombing america conceeded to many of japans terms.. your opinion would be valued..

My father was a radio man on B29's that flew over Japan and drop the fire bombs on their factories. He also got to see the first A bomb before it was drop on Hiroshima. He told me it was smaller than the ones they was dropping. They all had no idea at that time what it was capable of doing. A few weeks after both bombs was dropped my father told me they took all the B29's in the area and flew 500 feet over Japan main cities and also Hiroshima as a sign of force to the Japanese people to show them they need to give up and the US was superior over them. He first hand saw the destruction the first bomb did in other words the pictures we all may have seen in our history books he witness it first hand. He always said the Japanese was reglious fanatics and they would have fought to the end but the dropping of the 2 bombs he felt saved more lives than they took. It wasn't until a few years ago before he died did he feel regret on the part he took in that war. Was it evil? I feel it all depends which side of coin you was on. To me all wars are evil. It's all about money and power. Still Totally ADD

by Quarterback inthe news stated this week that blue jeans are not fashionable any longer.
a fad that got started as a working mans pants is being replaced by yoga pants.

Blue jeans are easier to work in the garden and makes you look the part. In other words I am to old to care about making a fashion statement. I think I am going to do what my dad did. Go to a yard sale and buy a suit for 50 cents and as I am wearing it brag about how much I paid for it. LOL Still Totally ADD

Do Witnesses still go door-to-door??

i never see groups of people walking around the neighborhoods all dressed up or out in fastfood restaurants on saturday mornings or groups of people driving around in cars.

Living out in the country we have had only 2 visits in the last year and both times we was at work. First visit they left a tract for the memorial and just last week a tract for JW.org. As things go around here that should be it for another year or two. In the last three years that has been 3 visits. Still Totally ADD

Oh Boy the 1960's all over again. Im with you donuthole. All those nightmares I went through as a child over all this crap. Which sometimes make me think was it the elder who abused me or all the Jehovah is killing everyone that caused my PTSD. I remember the older ones back then seem soo happy about all this and all I could do was seat there and listen to all this abuse. When I think of the Wt. as a cult it is the children that take the biggest brunt of this propaganda crap. I hope all JW parents will lose alot of sleep getting up during the night consoling their poor childrens nightmares and maybe help those parents to think there is something wrong about all this.
